How to increase the maximum file size for RAG uploads

Glob.AI OS uses the FILEUPLOAD_VALIDATIONS_RAG Parameter to define the validations applied to files uploaded for RAG ingestion. Its value is a JSON object, and the maxFileSize item sets the maximum size allowed per file.

Increase maxFileSize when you need to upload files larger than the current limit, for example MP4 files. These files are processed by the omni-parser through the ingestion provider you select in the Advanced tab when adding documents. See RAG File Formats for the full list of supported extensions.

Configuration steps

1. In the Console, go to SuperAdmin Options > System > Parameters.
2. Use the Name filter to locate FILEUPLOAD_VALIDATIONS_RAG.
3. Click UPDATE to open the Parameter Upsert UI.
4. In the Parameter value, locate the maxFileSize item and enter the new limit. For example, change "maxFileSize":100 to "maxFileSize":200.
5. Click CONFIRM to save the change.

Like other RAG System Parameters, you can define it at the System level and override it at the Organization or Project level.
